Bela - IDF/IKF Social Contract - May 5, 2007 1:10 am (#23 of 361)
This is interesting!Here are a couple of bullet points for a social contract:
no stalking; no taking it offline no publicising of others' personal information the hosts reserve the right to moderate or ban disruptive posters (in extreme cases) personal attacks will be monitored by Klaatu asterisked threads in moderation

Moulton - IDF/IKF Social Contract - May 5, 2007 6:28 am (#24 of 361)
The Process of Enlightenment Works In Mysterious Plays.Bela, you ignorant slut...
A social contract features sentences that employ the following grammatic structure:We promise, commit, agree, and pledge, on our sacred honor, to participate in the conferences in this community in a civil and respectful manner and to engage in constructive dialogue toward achieving our mutually agreed-upon common goals...Sharing in communities, people and organizations can be mutually supportive and enjoy palpable and meaningful rewards from the synergistic exchange of ideas, experiences, and feelings. By sharing across communities, people and organizations can also reap benefits. For instance, lots of people and organizations have begun to use new community-making technologies to their mutual benefit. Sharing information about the uses of technology, in a mutually supportive atmosphere, across communities, can benefit everyone. There are many areas in which sharing can provide benefit. Access to such conferencing systems can help promote sharing in arts, literature, crafts, events and activities, education, social services, environmental issues, civic issues, and many other areas of mutual interest.General Community, Interpersonal, and Social Goals
To celebrate and express the natural diversity and cultural diversity that characterize our participating communities; To welcome a broad cross-section of people and organizations to plan for the future; To utilize pro-active and empowering processess to encourage creative ideas; To envision environmental, social, cultural, and economic benefits for all; To seek ways to foster pride of people and place. To treat other participants with courtesy and respect, and as we wish them to treat us; To foster cooperation, personal and community growth; When conflict occurs, to to seek resolution and reconciliation in a spirit of respect, peace and justice; To take individual and personal responsibility for our words.
Bela, your idiotic notion of "No this, no that..." corresponds to a hopelessly childish Stage 1 on the Kohlberg-Gilligan Ladder of moral and ethical development. A Social Contract operates a much more mature Stage 5 of the Kohlberg-Gilligan Ladder:The main reason that there cannot be a Social Contract here in the Indigestible Kauderwelsch Forum is because the vast majority of people here are hopelessly stuck at Stages 1 and 2 of the Kohlberg-Gilligan Ladder of Moral and Ethical Development.Lawrence Kohlberg's Six Stages of Moral Reasoning
Plus Carol Gilligan's Seventh Stage of Ethical CareStage 1: Punishment-avoidance and obedience — Individuals make moral decisions on the basis of what is best for themselves, without regard for the needs or feeling of others. They obey rules only if established by more powerful individuals; they disobey when they can do so without getting caught.
Stage 2: Exchange of favors — Individuals begin to recognize that others also have needs. They may attempt to satisfy the needs of others if their own needs are also met in the process. They continue to define right and wrong primarily in terms of consequences to themselves.
Stage 3: Good boy/good girl — Individuals make moral decisions on the basis of what actions will please others, especially authority figures. They are concerned about maintaining interpersonal relationships through sharing, trust, and loyalty. They now consider someone's intentions in determining innocence or guilt.
Stage 4: Law and order — Individuals look to society as a whole for guidelines concerning what is right or wrong. They perceive rules to be inflexible and believe that it is their "duty" to obey them.
Stage 5: Social Contract — Individuals recognize that rules represent an agreement among many people about appropriate behavior. They recognize that rules are flexible and can be changed if they no longer meet society's needs.
Stage 6: Universal Ethical Principle — Individuals adhere to a small number of abstract, universal principles that transcend specific, concrete rules. They answer to an inner conscience and may break rules that violate their own ethical principles.
Stage 7: Ethics of Care — An obligation of care rests on the understanding of relationships as a response to another in terms of their special needs. Focuses on the moral value of being empathetic toward those dearly beloved persons with whom we have special and valuable relationships, and the moral importance of responding to such persons as unique individuals with characteristics that require custom-crafted responses to them that we do not normally extend to others.

Bela, "Bela on Trial" #63, 30 Apr 2007 12:05 pmIndeed I have. The manner in which Bela and his cretinous cohorts have been violating (and continue to violate) the WX ToS is highlighted in red so as to make it manifestly apparent to his addlepated psyche and to his toadinacious enablers.
[Moulton] is claiming that I have violated the TOS in some manner.
Here, again, are the five counts against Bela alleging violations of the WX ToS, with the manner of violation highlighted in red.First Count of violation of WX ToS:The Prosecution further states:Bela - Posters Who Annoy You - Apr 3, 2007 1:47 pmSecond Count of violation of WX ToS:

I'm used to Moulton's army of pseuds (I wager he has at least 25 of them) but I do find it irritating when people get confused by them and he isn't forthright enough to set the record straight.

Don't worry about it, he [Don Hopkins] just sent me an email to post, with his response:_______________________________
[A 4-paragraph E-Mail from Don Hopkins to Bela@WorldCrossing.Com consisting of Hopkins' threatening, abusive, tortious, defamatory, and libelous remarks about Moulton.]Six days later, on April 14th of 2006, Don Hopkins launched his notorious campaign of harassment, identity theft, wire fraud, mail fraud, abuse, and harassment by proxy against Moulton, citing Bela's false and defamatory WX postings as his justification.
Here are the relevant portions of the WX ToS which Bela violated in the four counts, with the manner of violation highlighted in red:You agree to not use the Service to:The Prosecution contends that Bela collaborated with Hopkins, through his WX E-Mail account, whereupon a week later Hopkins launched his campaign of Identity Theft, Wire Fraud, Mail Fraud, Abuse, Harassment, and Harassment by Proxy, encouraged and supported by Bela's libelous remarks as previously published in WX (and discovered by Hopkins through a Google search). Bela compounded the offense by publishing on WX Hopkins' threatening, abusive, tortious, defamatory, and libelous remarks about Moulton, in clear violation of the above-cited WX ToS.
(a) violate or solicit the violation of any applicable local, state, national or international law;
(b) infringe the rights of any third party, including but not limited to intellectual property rights and privacy or publicity rights,;
(c) upload, post, email or otherwise transmit any Content that(1) is unlawful, threatening, abusive, tortious, defamatory, obscene, libelous, or invasive of another's privacy;The Fifth Count of violation of WX ToS:
Defendant did, on multiple occasions dating back four years and continuing to the present time, publish false and defamatory claims and allegations against Moulton, including demonstrably false and hysterical claims about Moulton's future plans and intentions:Bela, "Bela on trial" #142, 30 Apr 2007 9:40 pmThe Prosecution contends that these acts violate Paragraph (c)(1) of the WX ToS:
[Evidence, supplied by the Defendant, of the resultant hysteria created by his publication of false and defamatory claims about Moulton's future plans and intentions.]You agree to not use the Service to:Defendant's efforts to damage Moulton's standing through false and defamatory allegations succeeded in spreading fear and loathing in some forums and failed in others.
(c) upload, post, email or otherwise transmit any Content that(1) is unlawful, threatening, abusive, tortious, defamatory, obscene, libelous, or invasive of another's privacy;
The Prosecution has also named Siobhan Halo, Ozzie Nelson, Claude Dorsel, Recycla, Hobbes, and ArchosIDF as unindicted accessories to the above cited offenses by dint of their negligence and irresponsibility in failing to enforce the WX ToS in their respective forums.
The Bill of Particulars illustrates the pervasive pattern of intentional and malicious abuse, with a sampling of examples to demonstrate that Bela repeatedly and intentionally violated virtually every element of the first three clauses of the WX ToS, in full view of the responsible forum owners and hosts who made no effort to arrest his gleeful gutting of the ToS.

Perhaps people hide behind anonymous IP addresses because they don't want to be stalked, even online.
Blazes raised the spectre of something entirely different, thereby spreading fear and loathing, based on people's ignorance about IP addresses.
What Blazes did was introject a hint of stalking into a techo-joke; she relied on the ignorance of people to fail recognize the difference.
And I claim that Blazes did that intentionally to spread fear and alarm.

I have also given Archos and Yllabian Blue a reasonable time to resolve whether or not they wish to be numbered among Bela's enablers. So far, YB has demonstrated an inclination to discontinue his previous practice of enabling and empowering Bela. Archos, not surprisingly, is waffling and wallowing in chagrin and remorse, while studiously neglecting to clean up his heartbreakingly disappointing act.
For the life of me, I cannot fathom what Archos is thinking. Perhaps (like Bela, Claude, Halo, Hobbes, and Ozzie) Archos simply doesn't know how to think about the issues I've raised here.

Methinks one can mainly interact with Moulton by listening to his lectures or parodies of lectures.
Or by becoming a part of his drama and accepting a role in it.

But if I'm forced to play a role in a drama that is being pushed on me I prefer the role of the bad guy to the role of the good guy.
